Allergies

Triggers from allergens cause stress and that affects the whole body. The body responds to the stress by increasing the breathing rate and we gradually begin to hyperventilate.
With allergies, sinusitis and hay fever, there is a histamine reaction; irritation, redness and each or all of them cause the person to increase their breathing rate. Inflammation, mucous production is more prominent as smooth muscle tightens affecting breathing. As triggers continue and symptoms increase, there is great discomfort.
